The Outlaw Image

The Outlaw is a representational archetype in many of my male figurative art works, used to describe my attitude toward my art and the world. I like to challenge the norm and provoke thought beyond the expected paths. I paint the Outlaw Image not as a symbol of mere criminality, but as a necessary counterweight to societal stagnation. Through my art, the rogue becomes a mirror reflecting our shared, subconscious desire for autonomy. By placing these figures in contrasting settings - from stark, sun-baked isolation to a post apocalyptic feel, an under water sanctuary, or a towering city scape - I highlight the timelessness of the rebellious spirit.
Through a dedicated exploration of the Outlaw archetype, these projects aim to challenge the boundaries between order and rebellion. By capturing the defiant spirit of the outsider across diverse historical and speculative landscapes, the artwork serves as a visual catalyst. It inspires viewers to confront their own definitions of freedom, question systemic control, and celebrate the untameable individual spirit that drives progress, disruption, and authentic self-expression.
