A solitary figure stands at the threshold of a mysterious steampunk world. Warm copper light pours through the towering architecture behind him. He may be the messenger of important documents he holds in his satchel. He may continue on until they are delivered, his Red Robin companion perched on his shoulder to guide him.
This work reflects an abstract-realist approach, retaining a recognisable subject while allowing colour, texture, and surrounding forms to move beyond strict realism. The robin brings a quiet flash of life to the scene, a tiny companion in a world of shadow, steam, possibility, hope and direction.
One of three original artworks in the Steampunk Fantasy Red Robin Set.
