Between towering city buildings, a solitary steampunk figure stands with his back to the fading light of day. His top hat and goggles are silhouetted against the last warm glow, while the city around him begins to deepen toward dusk. A small red robin rests at his shoulder, a quiet companion and intuitive guide for the night ahead.
This work reflects an abstract-realist approach, retaining a recognisable subject while allowing colour, texture, and surrounding forms to move beyond strict realism. There is safety in his stillness, and a sense of trust: he does not need to see the whole path yet. Guided by the robin, he can move through the gathering dark with hope, direction, and quiet certainty. He may move through the city between gigs, singing and busking with friends.
